It's been a loooooong time since I've last updated, so long I don't even know what to write anymore!  So I'll just post photos of Raisin.

Deep thoughts

She's a licker!

What a ham.  Oh, Raisin.

Okay lame post i know but I thought i'd post SOMETHING.

I've got an invitation to extend to all y'all:  You are cordially invited to fly to Denver and drive with me back to Dallas...and then back up here to Denver.  FUN!!!!  Any takers?  Anyone??  All I need is ONE!  :P

NEXT STOP

I'm moving.  Back to the States.  My new home as of August 2006:

Isn't it purrrrdy???

City + Nature + 300 plus days of sunshine a year = a very happy Joy indeed.

Denver, here I come!!!

So for the folks who didn't come to SH any time over the last 2 years I was here, no excuses!  I better see your behinds in Colorado for a visit.  You know who you are.

And for those of you who did visit, you better visit me in Colorado!

On another note, the masseur gave me a huge bruise on my back.   Hao tong!

And another note:  Yay! A few more weeks until school is out!!

Saipan

I was very surprised by the mix of history, cultures, and traditions melding together, creating what one sees now in Saipan.  It's rich in histories as many empires imperialized the islands, and it played significant roles throughout various wars and battles worldwide.  Thanks Steve and Miwa for being such wonderful friends to us.  Thanks Jessica for being our savior! :)

Saipan

Japanese cannons from WWII

Bonzai Cliff:  Where many Japanese and Korean people suicidally jumped off the cliffs because they were fearful of the arrival of American troops,  propagandized as being cruel and monstrous.  This is where many men, women, and children flung themselves off these cliffs and into the raging waters below.

Just a few memorial on the cliffs.

Hiking in some random areas near a cave with Miwa. :)

On another subject.....My Ah-Gong!!!  I don't know what made me think of him, but....

Let me reiterate:  I am so so so lucky to have the most loving, gentle, kind, ADORABLE grandpa!

Seriously, I cannot envision my life without this man.
